Aaron brings over a decade of experience in security across the stack, with a focus on building and scaling programs that empower engineering teams to deliver secure, resilient solutions. He has successfully built and scaled comprehensive security programs that empower product engineering teams to deliver secure, robust, and sustainable solutions. A passionate advocate for automation balanced by thoughtful process, Aaron is adept at designing and implementing security tools that align seamlessly with development workflows. With deep expertise in cloud-native architectures, Kubernetes, container security, and modern data aggregation platforms, he consistently leverages his skills to guide organizations toward secure innovation.

Beyond his professional pursuits, Aaron is an active builder, coder, and creator—exploring personal projects involving generative AI, LLM agents, and secure API integrations. He also enjoys woodworking, electrical engineering, and 3D printing as complementary creative outlets.

“I’m excited to apply my extensive experience to provide strategic guidance, technical expertise, and practical insights to help shape the future of ZEST,” said Aaron.

As for what specifically led Aaron to join as a strategic advisor, it’s best to hear it directly from him. Here is a summary of a recent conversation we had:

Q. What excites you about ZEST and what made you want to get involved?

A. What excites me most about ZEST Security is the chance to help guide a product that’s empowering teams to create more secure infrastructure. In cybersecurity today, there’s an overwhelming amount of noise—endless alerts, countless tools, and an abundance of data that often obscures what really matters. ZEST Security’s approach to clearly identifying critical vulnerabilities and enabling rapid, targeted action cuts through this noise. Being involved means contributing to a meaningful shift from distraction to actionable clarity in the industry, which is truly compelling.

Q. Given your experience as a cybersecurity leader, why do you feel the cloud risk remediation problem is so important to solve right now?

A. Cloud risk remediation is a critical and urgent challenge because the timeframe between vulnerability disclosure and exploitation continues to shrink dramatically. Attackers move swiftly, exploiting 0-days within hours or days, not weeks or months. The ability for teams to quickly pinpoint exactly where vulnerabilities exist in their cloud infrastructure—and then swiftly apply precise, effective remediation—is no longer just best practice, it’s a necessity. Organizations simply cannot afford delays or guesswork. Efficient, accurate remediation has become essential to maintaining security posture and avoiding devastating breaches.

Q. What, in your opinion, makes ZEST Security uniquely positioned to solve this big problem?

A. ZEST Security stands out because it’s built by a leadership and product team that doesn’t just have deep expertise—they genuinely care about solving this issue. Many companies rush products to market without truly understanding or addressing customer pain points. ZEST Security is different. It combines real-world security experience with thoughtful product design to ensure customers can quickly and reliably patch vulnerabilities in a way that directly reduces risk. This thoughtful approach sets ZEST Security apart, positioning it uniquely to lead in the critical mission of effective vulnerability management.

Welcome officially, Aaron. We are so excited to have you on board!
